While it seems like a nice gas block, at this price point, I expected a little better. First, one of the Allen Screws got stuck (without any Loctite). It then stripped out, and I had to get creative with heat and slightly larger Allen Wrenches to break it free. Then I went to drill out hole to pin it to the barrel, and had issues there as well. The metal on the gas block is softer than that of the barrel, so it allowed the drill bit to push out the side and only drilled half the barrel, then made a new hole on the other side of the block. I was still able to pin it it, and I think it will work fine, but it was not ideal. Lastly, the pin is splined, not tapered like 99% of the other blocks. I guess that would make it easier so you don't have to ream it, but it is a bit of a unicorn. In retrospect, I could have purchased a cheaper gas block, then just bought a jig for pinning, and spent the same amount (but probably had better success).

Griffin is a good brand, and I dont find this overpriced at all. I run this on my 300blk, and now hundreds of rounds through, I've experienced zero malfunctions. I will gladly recommend this to anyone wanting a quality build that has everything in one affordable package.

When deciding to put a quad rail on my ar I knew I needed a new gas block. After much research I chose this product. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. Great quality and functions perfectly. I would definitely buy again and recommend to anyone looking to replace their gas block.

The fit and finish on this thing is really great. Installing the gas tube and roll pin was quick and easy. Fit on the barrel with no slop. Allen screws tightened it up and gave it a solid feel. Highly recommend.

This Griffin Armament gas block makes it easy to drill the correct hole to pin it to the barrel like a mil spec one is so it will not back off when you need it most. I Used a drill press and it made easy work of the drill chore. Be sure to use a top notch coated drill bit because the barrel will be very hard. I will be ordering more of these.

This is an excellent product. Does exactly what it should. Easy installation. The machining is spotless, the coating should last for decades. I’m vary happy with this purchase and I would buy it again.
