Most Helpful Positive Review Great muzzle device
Ordered this muzzle divice to be able to mount my griffin optimus suppressor on my sbr. The break acts as an extra blast baffle increasing the life of the supressor. Great at reducing muzzle flash and good at compensating for muzzle rise and recoil.

Perfect Mount

Not only does it function flawlessly, but it looks really cool too. I don't like brakes on AR's, so this was a great replacement for the EZ Brake that came with my Recce 5k. It's also another baffle essentially.

This thing is absolute machinist art. Almost gave it 1 star for no stickers though. This thing gives me all the good feelies. Pretty hefty so not a good choice or a lightweight gun, but this feels super solid. All the guys at AutoZone love this for some reason.

Awesome Muzzle Device

I really like my flash comp. It went on my 300 blackout upper easily and in about 10 minutes from taking the old muzzle device off and putting the flash comp on. It does a great job of keeping my rifle flat while shooting fast. The taper keeps suppressors centered and easy to mount..can't ask for anything better!

Great Comp and finished my 6.5 Creedmoor build perfectly.

I add the Flash Comp to my 6.5 Creedmoor AR-10 build and it completely finished the build. Once I got it timed correctly it looked great and functions even better. While this gun doesn’t kick much, I could still feel a reduction in recoil with out my suppressor. My Recce 7 mounts solid and prefect every time. This is about the 7 or 8 tapered mount I have installed and all of them are great. You can’t go wrong with either Griffin or this muzzle devices.

  • reduced felt recoil
  • Solid mount for my Suppressor
Cons:
  • Takes a little bit to get timed but worth it to do it right.

Griffin taper flash comp

Extremely well build comp brake. Works excellent was easy to install with included shims. Only thing I’d like to see added is thread protectors for the comp. Used in conjunction with micro taper mount and was happy with the lockup in both parts. Good buy.

Griffin armament taper mount flash comp

Bought this to go along with my recce 5 can. Originally went with the minamalist brake that came with the can and man it was violent to shoot on my 7.5"... this flash comp shoots much more flat and the four foot fireball has been reduced. Main reason for buying this was to help aid the life of my suppressor it has a sacrificial baffle built into the comp to do just that. Great product however shipping with thread protector should almost be standard at the price of a taper mount.. overall would highly recommend

Another great product from Griffin Armament

Received item very quickly which is typical of Optics Planet. Muzzle device is a little tricky to clock, many swaps of the shims. Once mounted it looks really cool and of course it works perfectly. If I had to do it over again this would be the model I would put on all my rifles.
