Applied to fal barrel - GrovTec US Two Piece Barrel Band - Swivel Sets 1in Loop

The protective strip was not included in the package. I am not sure it would have been used in my application as I installed on a .680 barrel of a DSA FAL medium contour barrel. The fit is very tight and I believe it will work well. The thread depth of both fasteners is adequate but could be a bit deeper. I believe the next size up may not have been tight enough to prevent movement on the barrel. All things considered this clamp is a very easy to install solution to attach a sling swivel on this heavier barreled FAL. I could have given 5 stars if 1 1/4" swivels had been available. As the item came with 1" I had to use a 1 1/4 I already had. No one offered a original FAL type barrel band swivel for this heavier barrel. I chose GrovTec due to its American manufacture. I understand other similar bands are China made.
