Applied to FAL barrel
The protective strip was not included in the package. I am not sure it would have been used in my application as I installed on a .680 barrel of a DSA FAL medium contour barrel. The fit is very tight and I believe it will work well. The thread depth of both fasteners is adequate but could be a bit deeper. I believe the next size up may not have been tight enough to prevent movement on the barrel. At Last a solid mount for my 12 gauge shotgun!
I've been on the hunt for a barrel band for my Mossberg 930 JM PRO 12ga. for the longest time and now I found one! This is a great fit for my GrovTec Mossy Oak sling. And comes with swivels to boot.

Beware inaccurate instructions!
The kit works great, but take care following the instructions for the rear swivel. They tell you to drill a 5/32” hole for the main body of the screw. I did this, starting with a small bit and working up to 5/32” so as not to crack the finish. I should have stopped one bit smaller; the 5/32” hole was too big; the swivel dropped right in with the threads barely contacting the sides. I wound up having to use a screw hole repair kit to get it to bite. It worked out, but not without a headache. I’ve used Grov-Tec products in the past with no issues, so I hope this is just an oversight that gets corrected.

Barrel mount sling swivel
These work perfectly well. This is the second set of these I’ve bought. Since I do not use a hasty sling while shooting having the front sling swivel mounted on the barrel has no down side. The rifle sits lower and the barrel doesn’t catch on tree branches.

- If someone wanted to use a tight sling while shooting this might change POI.

Perfect Fit
The GrovTec 2 piece sling mount (.975-1.025) was a perfect fit for my Model 12 magazine tube. I don't believe anyone else is making one this size. Looked everywhere and finally found one here on Optics Planet. Thanks to both companies for a good product and good service!

Much better than the Uncle Mikes that were on the gun, the quality is evident when comparing them side by side. Easy to install, better craftmanship, fit and finish is overall better. money well spent.

Lever gun sling kit
Perfect fit for my Marlin 336 in .35 Remington. The front sling swivel mount grabs the magazine tube securely and the rear mount installs easily after drilling a pilot hole in the butt stock. Good quality.
