The ONLY swivels you should use on 1" slings!
If you are running a 1" minimalist sling like a Edgar Sherman Design or EMDOM Gunslinger, you definitely want to try and use a quality 1" sling swivel like the GrovTec on the right, over the typical 1 1/4" wide USGI issue swivels.
Going with a proper sized sling loop solved clearance issues with lights/IR devices on two of my rifles and made the slings just more pleasant to use.
