Most Helpful Positive Review Light Weight
I bought steel plates but they are very heavy for a old fellow like me. These plates protect against pistol fire only but, for self defense against property thieves it fits the bill!

Now able to wear it, does weight a ton

Level 3a pistol cal plates

Fast delivery, these plates are ultra light weight and fit well into a 10x12 plate carriers even the cheap air soft vests, I place the front one in a fragmentation selve pouch and a trama pad all up front of vest, I choice this harder tyle plate for home defence, my main concern with light pistol soft armor is back face indentation, which will be very harmful to personal body, with this it appears to be min BFD great but super light weight

The Duluth Trading of Body Armor

I've been wearing steel plates (III plus) over my Kevlar. Each plate weighed almost 10lbs. These new plates are super light at 15 ounces per plate. I added the Spartan spalling pad to the front plate (7 ounces). First day in the new kit and I felt like I wasn't wearing armor. Have not, nor do I want to ever test drive these plates, but very happy with the piece of mind they provide while on duty.

Hands down, tese are the best

They weight nothing. I don't even notice it's there. I armored up a maxpedition Kodiak gearslinger bag for work. Not that my job is extremely dangerous but it's comforting to know I have it. I got some heavy duty Velcro for securing sofa pads and used that to keep it in one place in my bag. My bag has loop panels and the hook Velcro did the trick. Its really cheap by comparison to other products and I don't care for soft armor. I don't mind it only being 3a, because that's most likely what I'll run into. Like I said it weighs nothing in comparison to level 3 steel plates. You really can't beat it.

  • Not high level armor
Best Used for:
  • Discreet carry
  • Every day carry (EDC)
  • Cheap people who don't want to spend a lot

Unbelievably light

Shipping status was confusing for several days then finally I got it. The product itself is UNBELIEVABLY lightweight. I did not do a balistic test on it, I just hope it works but again, so lightweight that first, with both plates inside the box, I believed the box was empty, literally.
