its a buttstock screw, not alot to it. while i always replace them everytime i mount/ remount my buttstocks this one did stand out because during a weeklong training event i forgot my spare parts bin and had to reuse this screw about 20 times with different setups to see what would work best for me and it shows no damage/ stretching, slight wear on the finish but torqued down perfectly each time and on my last stock iteration i left it in there and it has remained to this day without issue; 3 years 9k rounds and change.

When you change AR from carbine to a fixed Stock , rifle configuration. The stock does not come with this mounting screw . Optics planet has them cheap.

Some people dont realize that the stock screws on A2 rifles are drilled to let the oil drain out of the buffer tube. These screws are drilled and are well made. They tighten up very well. Just putting any screw in your buttstock will cause you some issues.

Evidently, I miscounted by one on my complete kits as I had a "spare" buffer tube. So I ordered a standalone stock, spacer and stock bolt. Now this is a spare, yet I purposely fitted the parts to a rifle and everything works as its supposed to.....

At first I was wondering up um will this fit ? But when it arrived at my door I quickly screwed it in and it fit like a dream. I recommend any A2 buffer system but it fit and snugged up tight on the Luth-A2.
Pros:
- fits
- Fits perfect and locking handle easy to release
- fits well
- fits perfecto
- screws in
Cons:
- this is steel instead of zinc

It is, in fact, an A2 buttstock screw! It screwed in flawlessly. Apparently, this screw needs to be replaced after removal of the buttstock. I had to add the thread locker which, was not pre existing. I may try something different in the future if the need arises.
Pros:
- Direct replacement / exact fit
Cons:
- Screw head is dissimilar to a mil-spec part.

This screw fit the a2 style fixed stock like it was made for it. Only reason I gave it 4 was because it was back ordered and took 3 weeks to get. Other than that it was exactly what I needed to finish my build.
Best Used for:
- AR-15/M-16 style fixed stocks
