I prefer this over the magpul moe m-lok handguard; good upgrade for smith & wesson m&p 15 sport ii - Guntec USA AR-15 Carbine Length M-LOK Handguard w/Monolithic Top Rail

I bought this to replace the plastic carbine-length A2 handguards on my M&P 15 Sport II. Installation was easy, but I had to use a vise to pull the delta ring back in order to remove the stock handguard and install this one. Fitment was very nice; the upper and lower halves of the handguard fit perfectly together. I like that they've included four steel screws to ensure the two halves stay locked together. So far none of the screws have stripped or broken.

The finish on the aluminum is VERY nice, smooth, and comfortable to grip, both with or without gloves on. It even comes with rubber inserts to cover the M-LOK mounting slots, although if you grip the handguard too hard you'll start to push them inward towards the barrel. I personally like this handguard more than the Magpul MOE M-LOK (which I also bought to try out) because its diameter is smaller and allows me to have a more secure grip on the handguard.

The only con to this handguard is that, due to conduction from touching other parts on/near the gas block, it heats up during any type of sustained or rapid firing.
