Expensive, but Pretty

Review for
V Seven 2055 Carbine Buffer Tube
I didn't buy this buffer tube for the fact that it weighs ~0.6 ounces less than a traditional mil-spec buffer tube; I bought it because it looks cool. With an SBA3 brace, I have 9 total adjustment positions when attached to this buffer tube, which allows for slightly more diverse positioning of the brace. The fitment and finish of my particular V Seven 2055 Carbine Buffer Tube is very good; it perfectly matches with the rest of my build and makes good contact with the SBA3 brace. Adjusting the brace, if I can put it in words, feels as smooth and quiet as cutting butter with a hot knife. It doesn't take too much or too little force to adjust the brace.
While I wouldn't put one of these buffer tubes on every AR-15 I own, I like it enough to keep it on the AR it's currently installed to.

Slick and Clean Appearence, VERY Lightweight; Fits Aero Precision M4E1 Upper

Review for
V Seven AR-15 Ultra-Light Port Door
I wanted an ejection port door that would compliment the "top-of-the-line" look to my M4E1 upper/Radian AX556 Lower build I'm assembling. I ordered the "Air" version because it was the lightest of the three port door options offered by V Seven, and likely the lightest ejection port door for the AR-15 market as of right now. My setup includes: Aero M4E1 upper, Radian AX556 Lower, BCM BCG. So far I have no issues closing or opening this ejection port with this specific setup.
Aesthetically, I'd argue that V Seven's ejection port doors are the best looking on the AR market. The "Air" version has a smooth satin black finish that, when closed, becomes a focal point of the upper receiver. It perfectly matches the finish of the Aero M4E1 upper receiver. In practical terms, the port door is almost comically light compared to the "standard" ones you'd find in most builds. It's also made of 7075-T6 aluminum; a much better and stronger alternative to 6061-T6.
Aesthetics aside, V Seven's port doors are an excellent component to upgrade for a higher-end or lightweight build. Although they serve the same purposes as any other port door, they, in my opinion, look good enough to justify the price. If you buy this, I highly recommend buying V Seven's "Ultra-Light Port Door Rod (AR-15)", which is an additional $10.

Poor Fitment on Palmetto State Armory Lower, Finish is too Glossy
Written on Sep 24, 2020
This works just fine as a taller magazine release, if that's what you want. It functions just fine, but it's not for me.
I measured the height of the OEM magazine release and this BAD Enhanced Magazine Release with a digital caliper:
OEM: 0.3065"
Enhanced: 0.3895"
Enhanced is 0.083" taller
The finish on this magazine release is a very shiny glossy black that stands out from the lower receiver and other installed parts. I would have preferred a matte black finish to match the rest of the lower receiver.
The fitment on my Palmetto State Armory lower receiver is also poor, which may or may not be attributed to my specific lower. There's enough room between this mag release and the slot it sits in that allows it to rotate/shift position enough to be noticeably crooked. This mag release might fit better on a higher quality lower receiver, but I personally don't like it on mine. Fortunately it isn't an expensive part, it works, and it does provide a better looking face for a magazine release.

AMAZING Upgrade over a Mil-Spec Bolt Catch.
Written on Sep 24, 2020
Review for
Strike Industries AR Enhanced Bolt Catch
This enhanced bolt catch has proven to be a significant upgrade over the standard mil-spec bolt catch that came on my AR-15's. I primarily shoot left-handed, so it's MUCH easier for me to engage this bolt catch with my (left) trigger finger.
This bolt catch is made out of steel and has a finish that is identical to the standard mil-spec bolt catch that it replaced; it's not lighter or darker than mil-spec. It also has a clean form factor that isn't gaudy or intrusive; it doesn't stick out much further from the lower receiver than a standard mil-spec bolt catch. The upper and lower levers are angled just enough that it's much easier to either lock or release the bolt carrier group. Note that the "SI" acronym for "Strike Industries" on the upper lever is painted white, but as i said, it looks great and isn't flashy.
I replaced the mil-spec bolt catch on my M&P 15 Sport II and the increase in ergonomics is night-and-day. The best part about this upgrade is that it's very cheap and comes with all the supplemental parts you need to install it. One final note, I also have an Arms Unlimited ambidextrous magazine release installed, and this bolt catch by Strike Industries does NOT interfere with its operation at all.

I Prefer this Over the Magpul MOE M-LOK Handguard; Good Upgrade for Smith & Wesson M&P 15 Sport II
Written on Apr 22, 2020
I bought this to replace the plastic carbine-length A2 handguards on my M&P 15 Sport II. Installation was easy, but I had to use a vise to pull the delta ring back in order to remove the stock handguard and install this one. Fitment was very nice; the upper and lower halves of the handguard fit perfectly together. I like that they've included four steel screws to ensure the two halves stay locked together. So far none of the screws have stripped or broken.
The finish on the aluminum is VERY nice, smooth, and comfortable to grip, both with or without gloves on. It even comes with rubber inserts to cover the M-LOK mounting slots, although if you grip the handguard too hard you'll start to push them inward towards the barrel. I personally like this handguard more than the Magpul MOE M-LOK (which I also bought to try out) because its diameter is smaller and allows me to have a more secure grip on the handguard.
The only con to this handguard is that, due to conduction from touching other parts on/near the gas block, it heats up during any type of sustained or rapid firing.
