Do Not Buy

The mag catch button is extremely loose, sloppy, and does not drop mags consistently especially with the extended lever. I have to ignore the lever entirely and press the button head-on for it to drop a mag. It's the most unwieldy among the seven ARs I've built. It's improperly spec'd, causes undue error during tactical reloads, and is completely unreliable. Dont waste your money.

This is a perfect replacement for a stantard Mag Release button, fint and finish are perfect, I ordered black, and it was not shiny, a nice matte / satin black finish, not "blingy" of conspicuous. Highly recommend.

Easy Functional Upgrade

This is a good looking and easy to install upgrade that helps you find and operate the magazine release easily. I added blue thread compound during assembly to prevent loosening. Comparing the original mag release button to this one, they seem to be the same size. But of course because you add a lever arm to the assembly, it can make the mag release button feel looser than the original.

  • Feels a little "looser"than original though it's the same size

Extended Mag Catch Paddle Release

Fit my AR15 perfect and gives me a larger surface to push when releasing the mag. Seems to be made from good material. it even came with an allen wrench for installation. I would recommend this to anyone wanting an easy way to drop mags without fumbling for the release. I will likely put these on my other guns.
