Weak metal, easily stripped 3 out of 6 screws with provided tool. Do not tighten to spec. Now I can’t get my handguard off due to stripped screws. Good job on using weakest available material.

This handguard is really pretty good, it has a nice feel to it but most of all it changed the whole appearance of my AR pistol

Got this because it’s one of few 4” handguards. The handguard itself is nice, but the proprietary barrel nut is no good. Doesn’t fit in a standard armorers wrench. And the flats on the nut are sunk under the shoulders of the nut, so it was difficult to find a wrench that opened 1.25 inches but had narrow enough teeth to fit between the shoulders of the nut. Won’t order from them again

It took almost no torque to strip the screws holding the handguard to the barrel nut. It has to be some of the cheapest pot metal steel I’ve ever seen. It does stick to a magnet so it’s iron based but I’ve had aluminum threads hold up better. I tried tapping the holes to an m6 thread but this steel is also gummier than cheap aluminum. I got 3 good holes and then had one strip out with the tap. Best advice is to stay away. Lesson learned. I’ll order something else

The gas tube area is not completely milled out, there are humps in it, so you must be using a very skinny barrel or ultra low profile gas block. I could not even fit a low profile gas block in it. Would not recommend, probably waste of money as I wasn’t able to use it.

The Price was good on this but that's about the only thing that was. The main problem is with the barrel nut and that it requires a wrench that is neither metric or standard. I was able to find one after ordering 2 others that didn't work, the exact size is 30.6mm or 1.2 inches. Beyond that the screws strip very easily. I haven't completed the build to test it yet but with the upper complete this seems like it should work.

The way this is designed it will eventully roll off with the barrel nut. Hardest barrel nut ive ever had to install. After about 20 rounds on a 9mm I noticed the guard had rolled about an 1/8th inch. I grabbed it and turned it right off. I ordered this because I needed a 4" barrel. This product is not safe and I would not use ever use this!

This Guntec front grip looks great on my rifle it is solid and light weight. The barrel nut is solid and of steel construction. It comes with some shims to make sure it is perfectly aligned. I did not want to use an adjustable wrench on it so I purchased the crows foot, available on this site. I strongly advise this tool , it made installation a breeze. The crows foot worked perfectly with my 1/2”torque wrench.

It’s horrible. You must use shims, special wrench to torque (Guntec doesn’t tell you that you need the special wrench until after you buy it) and it will never align correctly. It looks simple but don’t be fooled. Don’t buy or you will learn the hard way like i did. In addition, the holes on the handguard are to large and even if you get it aligned, it will be sloppy and loose..
