Great safe but needs more juice - GunVault Bio Multi-Vault Biometric Pistol Safe

Overall, the quality of this safe was very good, very strong and safe. It seems designed for being plugged into the adapter to have enough amperage to snap the lock open, as the 9 v battery can be unreliable sometimes unless using a special heavy amp photo 9 volt.
The simple solution is just to buy a six aa cell battery holder with 9 v snaps for about seven bucks that you use instead of the 9 v battery.
Simply load it with alkalines, snap it to the connector and mount anywhere you want inside. I am currently trying this, as the other alternative is to use two 9 v cells in parallel, which requires soldering on another snap. The safe is awesomely easy to use, records fingerprints well, and is very reliable when plugged in or with enough battery amp juice. I don't want to return it, I want to oil up the latch, plug in my larger battery pack and keep it. Other than weak battery, I had no problems with the safe, and it comes with everything else you need to keep it rust free and securely mounted. Never be afraid to do a juice up mod when the safe is so ideal for you.
Pros- well built and easy to use.
Cons- needs more backup battery juice to be totally reliable without keys.
Best used for bedroom safe storage.
