This biometric safe is great reads finger every time for past 2 weeks. No misreads at all Quality is good. The only flaw is that the safe emits a beep every time it opens. Other safes the beep can be turned off If there is ever an upgrade to eliminate the beep upen opening, I want it. With that being said safe holds a loaded handgun and I am confident it is secure yet instantly accessible if I need it.

GunVault is always a great brand to buy!! I bought this vault to keep a handgun in the closet for quick access and keep my kids away from it.

I would recommend this to anyone looking for fast & secure peace of mind

I want to start by saying that this product does what you intend for to do. It's going to accomplish gun/stuff safety, and quick access quite reasonably.

Those things said, there are a few things you should consider. Set up and, code input, and other information is combined into one manual with other safes which have different designs. This makes for initial setup to be a little bit difficult and in some cases nearly impossible. Registering your fingerprint is pretty easy good luck with the rest.

The picture is not accurate to what they sell, and neither is the description ("What's included" is incomplete and along with other information on the product page leaving your imagination to address what you might need to purchase along with the safe to have a reasonably functional safe that protects your belongings) and as of the date of this review they have not made changes to sufficiently address that problem. The cable pictured is not included, and the product info gives you no reason to believe it wouldn't be. So should you want a theif to take your safe somewhere to work on it with adequate tools to open your safe out of your sight,

I liked the idea of having a biometrics safe, however this one is obviously flawed. I tried programing and reprogramming it and it just doesn't operate reliably. I could get it to open 10 times in a row and then not open the next 5 times.

I keep my handgun in it and it's worked well for me. I was skeptical of the fingerprint-access at first but I've been won over and am now a big fan. It works great for quick access.

Simply doesn't work. Opens about once every 8 tries. If needed gun in a hurry it might open as I was being shot.
