This is a very specific finger print safe meaning you must be exact when you swipe your finger. Safe made of plastic?

Well it wasn’t what I expected, plastic housing wouldn’t keep anything “safe”. It’s worked fine aside from that. I wouldn’t keep a firearm in this clock radio with a hidden drawer. I haven’t had any problems with the fingerprint reader. The display is a little dim but manageable.

  • Unassuming
  • looks like an oversized alarm
Cons:
  • plastic
  • required adapter for iPhone 7
Best Used for:
  • Not firearms

Radio safe

This is an older model because the connector for the Apple products is for the I-Phone 4 or older. My I-Phone 5 will not dock to it. I was bummed out about that but you can connect any device with the adapter in the back of the radio. The fingerprint scanner is the best part of the device, its definitely on point and opens every time. The unit is smaller than it looks in the picture but will fit a full size glock 17 and one mag in the drawer.

  • great gun concealer for easy access

solid deal on bio vault

this was a great deal at the price i paid. the safe portion is large enough inside but still small enough to not be obvious as to what it is. doubling as a radio/clock is a great idea. a stranger could look right at it and not realize what its real purpose it.
I would definitely buy again. I showed it to a friend who is considering buying one for himself.

No Quick Access

I purchased this as an extra way to hide a gun in plain sight. It works okay but the fingerprint scan is too unreliable for quick access. You may need to swipe your finger a few times, especially if your hand is damp, sweaty or dirty. So don't hide your home defense weapon it there. Also it only fits compact and subcompact guns. But for concealing jewelry or cash that you don't have to access in a hurry, it's great. I like that I can actually play the radio or listen to an MP3 player too.

wakes me up and keeps my weapon safe!

I love it and the people I showed it to thinks that it is awsome and will order it. Considering ot's purpose the plastic was a little disappointing. Still, it is strong. The finger point scan and directions are easy. Read them carefully!
