Great safe for it's intended purpose - GunVault SpeedVault Digital Handgun Safe

I have had this safe installed for almost a month now and have no regrets. I have tested it many times and have found no issues with functionality. The only negative thing I would have to say about it is mentioned many times in other reviews, the screws they give you to mount the bracket are pretty short and most likely won't hold up if someone really wanted to tear this thing off the wall (or whatever you have it mounted to). I drilled the mounting holes out a little bit and used 1/4" bolts and nuts with lock washers to mount mine to a very solid bedside table. I still think that if someone really wanted to remove it from its mounting location they wouldn't have to work too hard to get it off. The small screws that help secure it to the mounting plate don't appear to be all that robust.
All of that said, this isn't intended to be an impenetrable strong box. It is a fairly strong, fairly concealable safe that keeps a self protection tool close at hand and accessible to authorized users. Even though there are only four buttons to choose from when selecting your access code, you have ton of combinations to choose from since you can press multiple buttons at the same time having them register as a single key press.
Bottom line, if you are looking at something like this to keep your self protection device accessible but out of reach for younger or unauthorized individuals, buy it. If you are looking for a method of storing a firearm that will protect it from theft, fire, flood or other disaster, you're looking at the wrong safe. This works great at it's intended purpose.
