I was scared at first to sit on it because I thought it would collapse and I would fall on my butt. But, I sat in it after some brutal convincing from my friends, and, guess what? I didn't make me fall! So, it is also vert comfortable! And eh, highly recommened without a doubt!

Hammaka Tripod Stand
The "buttons" locking one of the legs into place were defective. As we purchased this product from NZ it was not worthwhile to send back to the States for replacement. WOuld recommend otherwise.

Pretty expensive but comfy
I already had the chairs and these stands made them portable-arific!!!

Do not buy - great idea but not well made
Optics Planet has the best price by far. Kudos.
Legs are thick and sturdy. Aluminum is a plus since it won't rust.
Design is pretty cool. Legs are telescopic and lock in place with spring loaded button clips. There is a rotating lock on top to prevent the legs from moving.
Poorly manufactured. One on the buttons came off as soon as a I open it up. One of the legs would not lock in place. It looked like the holes drilled into the legs for the locking mechanism were elongated.
Optics Planet has great customer service. It was easy to return at their charge and a replacement arrived in less than two weeks.
Second unit was worse. A button lock came off, one of the legs would not extend at all due to a piece of plastic trim being jammed. The rotating lock at the top would not lock in place.
Overall, very disappointed. I will settle for a non-mobile steel stand from another seller for the same price so I can use my chair in the back yard.
