I use the bi pod for the range. It has great adjustment and is a solid platform. You will need a attachment to your picatinny rail if you are using it on a AR. I purchased the Blackhawk BiPod Picatunny Rail Adaptor 71RA01BK. It works great and is very stable.
Only down side is I wish the tighting knob was easier to use. It has very small serrations that slip in your fingers when trying to tighten.
