Compact, bright and durable - Hawk Gazer LG-X Green Laser Sights

It's as if Hawk Gazer heard me. I'm a big fan of their other (previous) micro green laser, the LG-HG-LG-9. The only thing I didn't like about it was that the housing AND mount was polymer. Didn't mind the polymer housing but always thought the mounts should be metal. Not that I ever had any trouble with them, I have 5 of the previous models on everything from AR's to compact pistols. They NEVER lose zero. But... they heard me! This is basically the same unit but with an aluminum housing and mount. It's actually a bit shorter as well. One thing I do like about the LG-9 version over this one is that it seems they went to more of a 'pulsing' laser on the new unit. When you swing the laser around you can see 'trails' whereas the previous version was a strong, steady beam. It was probably an effort to get you more battery life.

Speaking of battery life... if I had ANY concern at all with these it would be battery life. Since you cannot replace the lithium battery once it dies the unit is useless. I have had several of my units for 18 months now and they are still going strong so in my mind even if the battery dies on you in 5-6 years at this price point you could simply buy another.

Another possible 'con' is that the W/E adjustments are a very tiny hex screw. If you do too much adjusting, they could wear out so get the unit on the gun where you need it, zero it and leave it be.

I love these. The most compact, brightest and cost-effective green lasers out there. They hold their zero and are rechargeable with a standard USB-C charger. Can hardly beat that.

About the company... great service and responses. I emailed them on a whim to see if I could get some more mounting screws because on some of my guns, I can actually get 2 screws in the unit mount. They didn't hesitate to ask my address and send me a bag of 10! Love that when a company stands by their products AFTER they already made the sale.
