I bought these ring mounts to mount an Athlon scope on my Weatherby Vanguard.30-06. I have a picatinny rail on it. I fastened the base part of the rings to the rail and tourqed it to 25 in lbs. After placing the scope and adjusting the eye relief I installed the top rings and was tourqing them down to 18 in lbs when one of the screw heads twisted right off. (DISAPPOINTED) so I emailed hawk customer service and asked them to send me a couple of new screws. I got no response. So I emailed again, this time I got an automated thank you for your email response. But that was all, I emailed one more time and still nothing, so five days later I’ve had no response from the company about the defective product. I don’t care how good a product is, if the customer service isn’t any good I won’t buy from them. So I’m sending it back. I wouldn’t recommend dealing with these people.
