High value, perfect for rimfire rifles, subtensions are accurate - Hawke Sport Optics Vantage 4x32mm Rifle Scope 1in Tube Second Focal Plane

I am comparing this to the old Weaver Classic K4, and the more recent Leupold FX-I, both of which have sadly been discontinued. Comparatively, this scope is on par with both. The glass is plenty good for the intended application, and miles better than comparable variable optics at a similar price point. The adjustments translate very closely to downrange POI shifts, and they are solid. Despite complaints from others, the mil-dot reticle subtends accurately in 1mil increments. I think they may have misunderstood the manual saying it was for 10x. Even if the K4 or FX-I were still available, I’d likely pick this one. If any of my junior CMP shooters need a scope, this is the one I suggest.
