The picture on Optics Planet shows this as a thin and slim protector. This is not thin and is rather hefty for all the bigger it is. This can sometimes work loose if you don't get this tight enough, so be sure to pay close attention when putting this on. Seems to be durable.

HK45 barrel thread protector
What can I say? It’s a thread protector. It threads on and protects the threads nicely. Just as advertised. It’s a perfect fit for the HK USP45 tactical barrel that I purchased to replace my old shot out barrel.
