Well into my 6th decade of shooting and fast approaching the 8th decade of life, change is the one constant. The seemingly biggest challenge to us seasoned shooters is the changing visual acuity we experience, namely the focus on the front sight. Even with visual aid,(glasses),sharper definition of the front sight can be problematic for continued enjoyment of the shooting sports. Without going to the use of a red dot sight, I have discovered what works best for me, at this time, is the use of a fiber optic front sight (green) and a plain blacked out rear sight (no dots) and Heinie offers one of the best in his tactical rack Ledge. With a serrated plain black rear sight the eye is forced to focus on the front sight and with the fiber optic front sight, that focus just seems to "pop". Now I need to tackle the "shakes"!
