These are steel, very well constructed magazines. They are visually and functionally identical to the magazines that I received with the purchase of the AR7 rifle.

First off, I don't have the Henry survival rifle, I have a Charter Arms that I bought many, many years ago. I've shot it many times with different types of ammo and never had a feed problem. I decided to get a couple extra clips for it and after checking the internet I figured that the Henry clip might work. Having received the Henry clips from Optics Planet and giving them a try, they wouldn't fit, too tight. I checked the old Charter Arms clip and the new Henry clip with a caliper, and they were both almost the same. The only measurement very far off was the spotwelded side of the clips. The Henry clip was slightly wider at the spotwelded side. I took one clip and using a press, squished it a few thousands until it fit nicely and tried it out. It loaded well and shot well, so I did the same to the other and it worked well. If this is normal for the Henry clip to be made like this then it's an easy fix to fit the Charter Arms. So, overall, I'm happy with my purchase.

Work great just like the mags that came with the rifle.

The mags I purchased worked perfectly in the rifle. I had purchased 2 magazines that were not made by Henry and had to sand with emery paper to make them work well. I will stick with Henry’s accessories.

These magazines made my old Charter Arms AR-7 feel like new. These mags are compatible with old charter arms AR-7 but a definite upgrade. It has a small piece of steel that fixes the round's position in the magazine and allows for correct feeding angle.

Delivery was quick, magazine identical to those issued by Henry. Magazine fit perfectly. I have not had a chance to test it out yet but should work just fine. I am fully satisfied in every aspect of the order.

USING FOR OLDER CHARTER ARMS AR-7 EXPLORER I RIFLE AND EXPLORER II PISTOL. THESE GUNS ARE VERY AMMO SENSITIVE, I TRIED SEVERAL BRANDS AND BLAZER 40 GRAIN WORKED BEST. THERE'S LIKELY OTHER AMMO THAT WORKS, BUT YOU WILL BE OK USING BLAZER (SILVER/BLACK BOX). MAGAZINES WORKED AS THEY SHOULD WITH NO PROBLEMS.
