I outfitted my Ar with the Hera forgrip and stock and it looks and feels nice. You can use this by itself or in combination with the stock depending on the look and feel you like. Its made from a strong plastic and is paintable. I like the grip position. A few things to keep in mind.... this needs about 9" of rail to attach to. Also when mounted you have to remove both takeout pins in order to have access to the lower internals of your rifle. Nonetheless I still like the look and feel of it.
