Hera arms ambi mag release
Product is nice quality. Would not fit in my aero lower due to the pivot pin being too long. Was able to tap it out and file the pivot pin shorter and now fits and works as it should

Doesn't work
Waited seven months and doesn't work the way it should. The Ambidextrous release side does not work when installed on an aero precision lower with a magpul pmag. not in spec
I was really hoping this would work. It looks the most like the g money lkp with the stippling. But it didn’t even fit into any lower. The pin is about 1/16th(0.062) off location. In today’s manufacturing world with texturing and tombstones, how does this even happen?

Not ambidextrous at all
At least it actually functions as a magazine release. It does not have enough movement to possibly function from both sides, however. No matter how much I adjusted the button to try to give it more play to move, it would not release from the off side even once. No wonder it was on sale; even then it is no better than one that would still cost less. Don't waste your money on this one; spend a little more and get one that has a more positive release on the off side.

Mag release
The HERA Arms Ambi Mag Release feels solid and great. Being ambi, both side of the mag release functions perfectly. The install was easy and straightforward. Been a couple of months and so far so good.

STRAIT TRASH
this thing is strait up garbage. Optics Planet should be ashamed to sell this. Will not catch a mag without pushing it in on the left side. The fact that its made it into production is astonishing. i cant even return it because i threw away the package. i should have left this in it. NO STARS

Outside of a Strike Industries Ambi Mag Release...this is the worst.
CMMG ambi mag release is my go to ambi mag release for an AR receiver...however I thought about trying a german unit from HERA.
1) It is too stiff
2) Magazine shelf is out of spec...some mags work...some mags dont...its like a magic trick.
3) HERA uses a two piece system where the threaded portion threads into the body...wouldn't be a problem except HERA doesn't use any loctite...after some dry fire practice...it came loose...

Works well
Simple install, and works as intended with both side releasing the magazine. Feel solid, and satisfying to use. Felt a little tight at first, but loosened up with a few uses. Haven’t had any other issues
