This little gadget is awesome! Bought it thinking it was something else. WONDERFUL MISTAKE! You can mount them any where (above a door?) on any wall (or ceiling?). In house or RV, in/on any vehicle. It holds to almost any weapon REALLY securely, without nicking or scratching finish.
