John's Review of High Speed Gear HSGI Multi-Mission Medical Taco Med Pouch

First I want to start off with this med carrier itself is a 5 star, the only reason I put 3 stars for the pouch is not the taco pouch itself but the deployable content pouches that actually contain you med supplies, in the description it says you can deploy your IFAK/blowout kit ambidextrously and this is true the problem is that there are to separate content pouches so in order to deploy your whole kit you have to be able to reach both sides, now this wouldn’t be a problem if this wasn’t your personal IFAK but if your hit and laying down or sitting to deploy your kit and start accessing and treating your injuries then you’ll have to be able to reach both sides of the pouch and possibly depending on your wounds may have to do so with one arm do to the other arm being out of commission, now with that said with a little ingenuity and inventiveness you can fix that no problem. With that said the carrier itself has 2 rapid deployment TG pouches built into the interior of the carrier itself separate from the content pouch so you can deploy either the TQ’ or the contents individually depends on your medical needs, the double shock cord retention is very adjustable and offers great retention whenever you cinch it down the fit your kit properly, the multiple positions you can carry/mount the pouch in is a great feature and the nylon and over all materials used in the construction of the carrier is good quality and first thoughts would be it should hold up to a lot of abuse. Highly recommend this med pouch and would probably only ever upgrade to HSGI’ Ned med taco they just released so to hypalon construction due to its resistance to water it better then nylon.
