The hex configuration was so convenient in both adding my Yankee Hill Suppressor Muzzle device and in assembling the Upper Receiver. Hex profile also acts as flutes in providing more surface area for cooling while optimizing weight at 36.9ozs. Broke in barrel with an extended 2x typical break in routine. Used a 5x Steiner Battle Sight to achieve the following MOA groupings using factory PMC X-TAC 62g M855 w 80f ambient temp. Really nice barrel

These are really good barrels, not forward-heavy as you would expect. I got one for a target rifle, & a 2nd one to build a heavy duty iron-sights gun with a close quarters Magpul stock. Fast shipping & an excellent price!!!!

I ordered this on just the looks alone the octagon barrel and it’s a 223 wylde. After getting it is absolutely amazing I had 5 rounds touching at 100y worth every penny.
