Does not radiate any light. Just clear piece of plastic. In low light, not visible. Not light watch dial tritium

Well, few accessories for 1911s are truly “drop-in” without a little work, this was no exception. The sight is well made and reasonably priced, however it really didn’t match the cut in my Springfield Garrison and I had to take it to a local gunsmith for fitment. I expected this and not a problem; Hi-Viz makes a wide variety of great sights but can’t guarantee a perfect fit for every durn pew-pew known to humanity. My big gripe is, I wanted the red tube instead of the green. For whatever reason, the lightpipe supplied with the sight was about 1/8” shorter than the green or white, and refused to lock into place. It’s sort of stuck in right now but I expect it’ll come loose after a few rounds, so I’ll have to go whine to Hi-Viz’s customer service for a replacement. You can’t have everything but heck—

Info says this sight will fit G17,19,42.43. It WILL NOT fit G17, and probably not G19. May fit 42 and 43. By the time I gave up. the sight was too damaged to return, and I have installed A LOT of glock rear sights.

It says that it should fit a springfield 1911 but unfortunately i have a 1911 a1 9mm government full slide and the rear sight does not fit.I never installed it on my firearm.It comes with red and white litepipes as well.

Got this to replace the stock sight on a Benelli Ethos Sport 20ga to increase the visibility in all conditions. It is simple to install with the various supplied screws and easy to change out the light tubes to your preference. Sturdy construction. Prompt delivery. Highly recommended.

The original front sight was very difficult to remove from the Shield pistol the rear sight was very easy to remove after you completely loosen the set screw in the rear sight. Installing the front sight required a little fitting by removing .012 thousand from the side and bottom of the new sight. I miked the original front sight and discovered it was smaller than the HiViz replacement sight. I used a medium diamond flat stone to remove the extra material. After the material was removed I used a piece of oak wood cut to the dovetail size and drove the sight into placed all together it took me about 40 minutes to complete the full job. After installation the sights are a vast improvement in daylight over the original 3 dot sights. With my 70 year old eyes the fiber optic sight are incredibly easy to see. I highly recommend the HiViz sights. They ARE NOT night sights. Make sure when you order them that you order both the front and rear sight and not just the rear sight. The front sight DOES NOT come with the rear sight.

I really like how this item works it is very visual. the only problem I had was there is a set screw in the middle of the sight and there is no Allen wrench that fits that set screw. The screw sticks up and makes it impossible to see the front sight. I had to purchase an easy out to remove the set screw, and now the sight works really well and is very tight.
