Great fiber optic. Just avoid the headache of hours worth of sanding it down to fit and pay a professional to mount it properly.Got it on my RIA 1911 and it was much better of a sight picture than the stock blacked out metal sight.

HIVIZ front sight colt 1911
Very happy with the replacement front sight in general,however it should be noted the dovetail on the replacement was different on my 80 series Colt Gold Cup. It was necessary to use a .003 shim under the replacement sight in order to make a proper snug fit. O.P. had given me discount code & I got the above @ a very good price! The new sight looks great on the firearm, can't wait to sight it in.

Good sight but doesn't fit
I purchased this Hi-Viz sight for my Ruger SR1911 with adjustable rear sight. The sight gives a versatile combination of a bright green dot with a black outline. The Ruger 1911 uses a Novak dovetail for the front sight, but this sight was much too big for the dovetail. I spent hours with a small file reducing its size to get it to fit. I do not recommend this sight for a Novak dovetail unless it will be installed by a skilled gunsmith.

Fibre Optic
Optic Planet rushed my order to ensure I got it before our first shooting competition 5 Mar 17. I received it in time to install and try out on the range before the shoot. This sight is a major improvement over the tritium night sights that came installed on my 1911 .45ACP. Very happy with this sight and will now try to find a blacked out rear serrated novak cut sight to compliment it.
