This is my third Hogue rifle bag - i have one each for my AR and M1A - each is a different size but the same type. The construction on these bags is top quality - tough, heavy gauge nylon exterior and soft generously padded interior, strong seams and high quality hardware. The dimensions and shape are ideally suited for rifles with mounted optics - they provide a snug, stable support. The shoulder strap is nicely padded with two alternate attachment locations. The storage pouch is well-designed with separate magazine pouches inside and space for miscellaneous items. The second zippered compartment is ideal for tools and personal items. The only flaw in design is the sleeve at the wide end of the bag into which you're supposed to insert the rifle butt. I assume it's intended to help secure the rifle. If you have a rubber recoil pad, it tends to resist sliding into the sleeve. A velcro step arrangement would be better. Notwithstanding that minor design issue, it gets a 5 star rating.
