These parts are very sturdy. So sturdy they are several ounces heavier than other options. Obviously there are no mounting provisions for slings, BU sights, or lights. Grease, mud, grime really stand out and it doesn't come real clean easily. Installation was much more difficult than other styles. I paid not much when this was on sale and used a coupon. Have since replaced grip with one a less faddish color, cut the overmold off the fore end. I mounted a section of pic rail cantilever at 10 of the clock for a light and installed a QD socket on the rear at 9. Whip wrapped the thing with paracord and now looks Tactical AF.
Cons:
- Installation, too faddish.

This is my third Hogue forearm installation, The first, a middy, was difficult... filing, bending the gas tube, needed a strap wrench. The second, a rifle length, straight forward easy-peasy, did use a strap wrench. I even switched the middy to another rifle.
This chingaderas, though, the nut did crush trying to line up the gas tube, and ended up using a pipe wrench because I didn't know if I could thread hand guard on, meaning it might end up useless. Used a tough plastic rod to "roll" the wowies out of the threads and the hand guard went on, some tooth marks on the nut from the wrench.
These are hecka strong and look great, if you shop carefully they are less expensive than alternatives.
The hand grip in this kit is pretty good, needs a gap filler at the trigger guard.
Like most tube fore ends, no provision for accesorie thingies.
