Most Helpful Positive Review LCP Hogue grip
Perfect fit and definitely made for the Gen 1 LCP. Easy installation. You will have to replace one pin that is provided in the kit The reason for my purchase is I have a larger hand. Feels comfortable. Doesn't seem to add bulk to the pistol or "imprint" the shape for concealed carry. I also purchased the 7 round magazine, which with the Hogue grip, is a nice set up.

Not an accessory, a must-have!

Regardless of what you think of Ruger LCP, which isn't a perfect pistol, but it certainly is one of the most portable pocket options in 380. But it stinks to shoot. Now, I don't mind a few mags but is that enough practice? I don't think so.

I have two LCP's with the stainless slide and aluminum trigger. Couple hundred rounds through both at this point, some without the Hogue grip, some with. I have another Hogue grip on order. The idea is to use one for practicing, while carrying the other.

Anyway, beyond a couple of mags I was getting a bloody thumb knuckle on my strong hand, and it wasn't slide bite. It's just from recoil, and from how it sits in my hand. It's not even just bloody, it's a nasty blister that feels like a burn. So I ordered the Hogue after the first session. And it's definitely much better. I would also say that 7-round mags are a must, too.

The sole negative review here that claims it takes an expert to install is just silly. Afraid of undoing a plastic knob and driving out a pin? Pfft. Look up a Youtube video, it's easy as chips. And the pin that holds the Hogue grip in place keeps it from sliding off and potentially blocking your mag. It's a great grip.

P.S. I believe the photo here is wrong, but the part number is correct. I went by part number and got the right item.
Pros:
  • Actual comfort
Cons:
  • The pin could be a tad more snug (but no issues)
Best Used for:
  • Ruger LCP

Hogue Ruger LCP Grip

by Legacy Reviewer, from WA, United States Written on April 13, 2013
The Ruger LCP is a small pistol. The Hogue grip makes it easier to grip and to manage recoil. Good instructions made it easy to install.
Pros: Quality item, easy to install
