This Hogue knife is an excellent pocket knife. I have the larger version with the aluminum handle and it has served me well but this one is perfect due to its slightly smaller dimensions. It carries well in the pocket without being too large. Out of the box, the action is smooth and the blade is sharp. The tanto blade profile makes for a sturdy working knife with great penetration if needed. The polymer handle feels solid and has good texturing for a firm grip. The handle has a mild point at the end which is good for striking when the blade is open or closed.
