Charles Smith's Review of Hogue X5 Sig Folding Knife
I ordered this knife because it looked like it would match my SIG P229 Legion, & upon receiving it I was shocked to see how close it did. The fit & finish is spectacular the action is smooth. Even tho it is a manual flipper one could almost believe that it is an assisted opening knife. It fits in the hand very well, & the Wharencliffe blade is not only striking to look at, but is adapt to completing numerous task. Out of the box it has a mirror polished blade as good as any knife I have seen at any price point. I have around 40 pocket knives, but this is going to be my EDC for sure. The lockup is very tight, & the safety lock keeps you from accidentally pushing the blade closing button. The only drawback it see to this knife is the price tag, it is a tad steep, that being said the quality of the workmanship is second to none.I most definitely would purchase another on in the future, but would probably opt for the Legion version, just to have something a little different. Overall this is a high quality very capable knife for just about any job that requires a knife
Pros:
- Looks, fit & finish, blade sharpness

- price
