Ditch your other maglocks. Hogue Freedom Fighter is the way if you want a useable AR in a state that loves violating your 2A rights. Refill kit is the way to go if you've previously purchased the jig kit.

A must for California
All California Ar15 shooters and owners should definitely think about getting these if you want to keep your Ar15 sporting rifle looking good and in compliance. These are very easy to install while maintaining use of the bolt catch. You would still need to buy the freedom fighter kit, as these are only the refills.

Freedom Fighter Refill Kit
The best fixed magazine solution for making your AR15 California compliant also comes with an available refill kit, which comes with three additional grub screws, pins, and springs so you can avoid buying the jig all over again if you have already purchased one in the past. I purchased both at the same time, knowing I had several rifles to modify. I would recommend this to anyone with basic mechanical skills, as it can be a bit tricky to install the first time. As with anything else, becomes easier to install with practice. My only complaint is that it is not available for the AR10 platform to my knowledge.

Great supplement to the original product
With this kit you don't have to purchase all of the other items in the original Hogue Freedom Fighter kit. You can just purchase the needed replacement parts to finish your other Gunsmithing on your ARs to make them California compliant
