Well I’ll start off by saying there is definitely room for error, there is no denying that. Well that is jf you’re a little slow and can’t follow instructions than this is going to be a stressful install. On my first attempt my drill was not going fast enough (which the instructions definitely mention it needs to be going faster) and the hole was drilled stupid. I unfortunately couldn’t get that lower to work with the hogue system, so I filled the hole with JB weld. And I use it as a featureless lower. I tried it again on a different lower and made sure to fully understand and read the instructions and I did it properly and it worked great. I run this with a King Pin and I filed down the top on the hogue detent that threads into the lower like a guy on YouTube recommended(don’t over do it, go slow) so that it would require less space to release the magazine and after that it’s my personal favorite setup for a CA setup.

Now that I've installed one kit, I can share the good/bad. Do not try to hurry through the install. I found the plastic jig needed slight mods to fit my Anderson lower. Take your time and sand/file the plastic to get the hole where they recommend. It's not hard to do. This works best on a stripped lower before you add parts. Metal shavings get everywhere in the lower. Have a solid clamp to your worktop. Mine moved and I broke the #29 drill bit. Houge sent me a replacement drill bit for free. I would make a note of the #29 drills lenght from point to circlip so if you break it, you can use your own drill bit. The depth is critical so mark it well. I'd buy the kit again, enjoy!

I like the idea of having this kit being able to modify up to three lowers. I am building two at this time so I'll have a left over for my next build. Even if you don't plan on building more than one AR, it's still a good price.

I received this kit with the two drill bits and guides along with the pins and springs in small zip lock bag stapled to the inside of the plastic packaging. And I got the jig, but it had scratches all around the exterior which looks like it had been previously installed into a lower. I figure it will probably get the job done (will have a gunsmith do the install), but this kit was advertised as "New" and the jig doesn't look like it's new. The kit is a five star item for what it does, but sending me a jig that looks used drops my review down to three.

This product works as advertised the level of difficulty is minimal if you are mechanical inclined. Good product to make your rifle compliant. I use this product along with juggernaut HF. Also good product

This kit is the way to go for your AR15 build. Works perfectly just take your time.

Although this isn’t exactly what I expected, it’s a great solution for those of us that don’t live in free states and need a fixed magazine AR. Read the instructions a few times and watch the YouTube videos. The instructions on the website are better quality than the printed ones.

This is the best CA solution when you add the Ar mag lock kingpin or similar rear takedown pin. I dont have any experience in taping and threading but it was super easy took less than 20 mins. Just take your time and follow the guide. Its also nice as if you take your AR to a freestate all you have to do is unscrew your mag release a few turns and it functions as originally intended.
