Hogue forend adapter nut
Good quality. Threads mated to the Mossberg well. I was hoping it would work to mount a Magpul forend to my Mossberg 590 Shockwave, but it didn't work. I wound up modifying the forend and used the stock nut.
Hogue upgrade
Optics Planet had the cheapest one I found. Needed it to install the Hogue forend on my Mossberg 500. Shipped fast and Fit perfectly. They don’t tell you it’s needed when you buy the stock. It’s only needed if you have a 6.75” forend tube.

Great part but not for Mossberg 590 series
Bought a strike industries handguard for Mossberg 590m. same problem designed for 7 3/4 not the factory 6 3/4. Hoping this would work but no deal. Threads work perfect but the diameter into the tube of the handguard is the same size of the adapter. There is about .02 to play with in tolerances

Works great when adding the hogue forend for my mossberg 500. It would be nice if I didnt have to buy this to install the forened, but it was inexpensive and works.
