Most Helpful Positive Review Excellent grip option
I didn't enjoy shooting my KS6 until I got this grip. The Crimson trace laserless grips that came with it just were too small. This grip improves control and recoil. It has a 2 screw set up that gives it a very solid and wobble free feel. I was able to shoot 357 with some regularity and not cry. Some of the KS6 variations coming out have this type of grip on them out of the box and should be the regular grip. I have to recommend.

Perfect Fit and Sturdy

by Romans 1, Verified Owner from NC, United States Written on July 19, 2022
This grip fits so snug. I expect a product like this to start peeling off at the corners. I expect it to develop a gap between the rubber and the gun. I expect it to look worn from use. Especially since it is held on by two screws on each side. My Micro 9 is me EDC. So I have run this grip into the corners of walls and doors. I have put many rounds through the gun at the range. This rubber grip has lasted many months and still looks new. The one upgrade I make to all of my handguns is to rubberize the grips. It feels great like I have more command and control of the firearm. Just take your time and be careful when installing it. Don't overtighten the screws. It is such an affordable upgrade. And Optics Planet has been great with my orders. Very prompt service.
Pros:
  • Perfect Fit
  • Looks great
  • Affordable
  • Feels awesome
Cons:
  • Don't overtighten the screws but that is on you
Best Used for:
  • Every Day Carry

Not a perfect fit for a Micro .380!!!!

by Gregory Bishop, Verified Owner from FL, United States Written on May 7, 2022
I searched the internet looking to see if the Hogue Kimber micro 9 grip would fit a Kimber micro.380! Found nothing till I looked on the Optics planet website and found my answer, Yes! Yes turned out to be a 'big fat' NO!! If your not crafty and skilled at modification then send it back! If you are a master at modifications then you can make it fit with an Xacto knife and a Dremel with various bits!!!! I have to be honest, after all the mods to make it fit properly, it is awesome!!! Turned a mouse gun into a useable gun for a big handed guy!!! Good luck and may the force be with you!

My One Modification

by Romans 1, Verified Owner from NC, United States Written on January 29, 2022
I am not one who modifies my guns. I try to buy guns that have the features I want. The one modification I make to my guns is rubberized grips. I really like the feel when I am shooting. I sometimes use generic rubber sleeves. They are OK nbut they can slip and twist. The Hogue grips for my Kimber Micro 9 are easy to install (DON'T overtighten the screws). And they feel solid. I want to see if they help improve my accuracy and if they last a long time. So far they feel great. I like finger grooves when they fit my hand and this grip works well for me. I ordered basic black.
Pros:
  • Inexpenseive
  • Easy to install (be carefull)
  • Interchangable in multiple colors
  • Model specific
  • Hogue makes high quality items
Cons:
  • so far none

Incorrect colors/description.

by Boooooourns, Verified Owner from ME, United States Written on April 9, 2021
I ordered black and grey. Not brown and blue. I would like hogue or optics planet to either take better photos, or be more correct in their color descriptions. The ones in the photo look black and almost white. In real life they are brown and greyish blue. Wow, These make my pistol look stupid. Black and grey would have been great. Pink and grey would look even better. But that was out of stock until forever. So I settled for black and grey. I Got brown and blue? Lame. I can’t even take a photo to attach to this review because it isn’t an option. Either way. Not pleased.
Pros:
  • Seems like a good grip. Fits hand well.
Cons:
  • WRONG COLORS!!
Best Used for:
  • I guess a paperweight, ot maybe a shim for under a fishtank or wobbly chair

Kimber K6s Bantam - Piranha - G10 GMascus

by Whitefire, from AL, United States Written on February 22, 2019
This is a grip for the Kimber K6s. If you have even moderately large hands it is waaay too small, only slightly larger than the boot style grip from Kimber.

Yes, it's easy to conceal, however, if I am not confident in the engagement my hand has on the firearm, I will not carry it.

While my hands are not huge they are larger than average... I have to reposition my K6 after every second or third shot, even shooting the relatively mild 38 special. Simply not enough mass to hold on to. Didn't even attempt .357 magnum ammo.

I can see how someone with smaller hands would appreciate the grip, quality is top notch, as always from Hogue, therefore I conditionally recommend it, however, much too small for me.
Pros:
  • Good for smaller hands
Cons:
  • Much to small for even moderatly large hands
