These grips Should tame 44 mag recoil nicely. They feel softer than the Pacmayers. Will review again after shooting Fast shipping. Will order more fromOptics planet. Took a few attempts to get everything lined up to install.

Hogue Grips
Bought this for my Ruger Blackhawk 44 Mag. Went from the thin wood grips which had a tendency to slip in your hand a little when firing hot 44 mag rounds. The corner used to catch the inside palm and it would get sore after 20 to 30 rounds. This grip extends down below and give you better control and lets you manage recoil better. I find I am a bit more accurate because I am not anticipating the kick so much. The install was easy but keep an eye on the edge of the rubber. it tends to get caught in the tang when installing. You may need a popsicle stick to work it over the edge. Although I am very pleased with the grip and would not go back to the original I only gave it a 4 rating because it is very thick and feels like its too big. I think Hogue could have made this a bit slimmer and gotten the same results.
