Hogue 66000 monogrip grip - Hogue Taurus Medium & Large Frame Square Butt Rubber Revolver Grip

I have bought many Hogue grips over the years and was very satisfied with them UNTIL NOW! I read a lot of mixed reviews about this grip, but it was the only one I could find that was supposed to fit my Taurus 66 revolver, so I bought it. Sorry I did... it was hard to assemble making many attempts to fit the odd mounting attachment onto the handle. After getting lucky on about the 10th attempt, I was able to insert the screw and tighten, but when tightened to where it felt secure the grip fit wonky with loose spacing on the frame and made noise. Loosening the screw made it fit better on the frame but did NOT feel tight enough to stay tight when firing a .357 Magnum round. Did not feel confident with this grip, so I put the original grip back on and chalked it up to lesson learned about mixed reviews.
Pros: Looks good.
Cons: Does not fit very well and is hard to install.
