Hogue has a unique mounting system totally different from the Colt factory grips. It is very important to read the instructions carefully because there is only one correct way to slip the grips onto the butt of the pistol. The fit, finish, feel, and appearance of these grips are truly outstanding! Having never owned a monogrip before I had no idea at the time of purchase what I was buying. I had it in my mind that I was getting two-piece grip panels but that is not what these grips are.
