A must have!!!
Super convenient and quick!. Easy install on a Smith & Wesson 929. Doesn't interfere with any actions performed on the trigger. Matches the finish of the gun. Speeds up reloading for the next drop in without having to turn my gun sideways to engage the cylinder release. If you've got a revolver, you gotta have this!
Works as designed
Product is just what I need for increased ease and speed in reloading. I have average wide hands and was undecided on the short r long, thing the long may to long. My recommendation, buy the long one. I believe the short version would have been too short for smooth actuation. I suspect a short would be better for a carry gun and use the long on competition gun. That's my assessment of part installed on my S&W JM 929. Be the bullet!

Too high, awkward upward angle push forward….weird
If the web of your hand is at the top of the grip and your thumb is aligned with the original cylinder release. This will feel awkward for you. This extended release is angled up which is weird. You’re now trying to push forward while your thumb is up making it feel like two moments. The original release is a straight push. Even if you go with the long version. This will now interfere with holster and create more inadvertent cylinder release. They should just make it KISS and straight extended instead of up.

Hogue extended cylinder release
Great piece. Easy install. Makes reloading easier without changing your grip. So nice I bought it twice. It sits on my S&W 686 Competitor and my R8.
