Follow up on accuracy
Finally got to run a few rounds through my Savage model 16 308 today after putting it back together. Definitely a big improvement in accuracy. Fired 12 rounds through it and now a sub minute of angle shooter using the cheap Federal Power-Shok 150gr factory ammo. The rifle with the new stock and a Bushnell 4200 Elite 2.5x10x40 scope weighs in at 8.6 pounds. Definitely would recommend this stock.

Got my new stock this afternoon in the mail. Took me about a hour to put my rifle action into the new stock. The only problem I encountered was the small black spacer that sits inside the blind magazine well. This piece slides in and out to adapt a staggerfeed or centerfeed magazine. There was a small rubber burr not letting it go all the way down in the slot it sits in and would not let the action bed up with the machined full bed block. I removed the burr so the spacer would fit properly and also had to sand the spacer for clearance so that my centerfeed magazine would fit properly. Once this was done it fit perfectly and the barrel is free floating. Nice feel and rigid with the full bedding block. If not for the little bit of troubleshooting I had to do and my supper getting cold it would have been 5 stars instead of 4.
