Disappointed for very unexpected reason - Hogue Savage 110, 111, 114 & 116 Top Loading Box Mag Long Action Standard Barrel Full Bed Block Stock 11107

There is a lot to like about this stock - rubber feels good, the aluminum skeleton works great, it's not too heavy, price is good and has a decent recoil pad. I was shocked to see that the rear action bedding block is recessed only has 3 little metal prongs sticking up where the rear action screw is to support the rear part of the action. The front is normal like one would expect of an aluminum bedding block. I did a lot of research on this stock and never saw a picture of one that was set up this way. I didn't see any reviews for this stock for a Savage though. I'm wondering if this is specific to the Savage version? I emailed Hogue some questions, but they didn't respond, so back to OpticsPlanet it goes. Thanks to OpticsPlanet for being so customer friendly!
