Savage 110e

Arrived in 4 days. Fit is perfect. Improved the look and feel of the rifle. Full aluminum reinforced forend is very rigid. Instructions were easy to follow and included torque settings for the action screws.

Disappointed for very unexpected reason

There is a lot to like about this stock - rubber feels good, the aluminum skeleton works great, it's not too heavy, price is good and has a decent recoil pad. I was shocked to see that the rear action bedding block is recessed only has 3 little metal prongs sticking up where the rear action screw is to support the rear part of the action. The front is normal like one would expect of an aluminum bedding block. I did a lot of research on this stock and never saw a picture of one that was set up this way. I didn't see any reviews for this stock for a Savage though. I'm wondering if this is specific to the Savage version? I emailed Hogue some questions, but they didn't respond, so back to OpticsPlanet it goes. Thanks to OpticsPlanet for being so customer friendly!

Replacement Stock

I bought this stock to replace an OEM vinyl stock on a Savage 300 WM. The original stock was cheap and not bedded. The new Hogue stock fit perfectly and was bedded so that the action mounted just great. Very happy with the stock. The feel is nice and the recoil pad is wonderful - better than I expected. I would highly recommend a Hogue stock as a replacement stock for any gun.
