I ordered the part to replace the main spring housing on my Sug P938. What the description does not tell you is whether it is a new or old version. I ordered what I thought was the old version so I would not have to replace the sear spring. Unfortunately what arrived was the new version of the main spring housing. It looks great and fits great. However I had to order the new sear spring and will have it all together when it arrives.

Needed a Little Work
I like the Hogue checkered aluminum mainspring housing for the Sig P238 much better than the original plastic unit that comes on the gun. The mainspring housing that I received needed a little additional work before I could get it installed on my gun. There is a slot on the inside bottom of the mainspring housing. That slot is where the sear spring inserts. The slot on the unit I received was not wide enough to accept the sear spring that was installed in my gun. I used a Dremel tool and a diamond cut wheel to widen the slot enough to accept my sear spring. Then the gun went back together and worked fine. Without the additional widening work, I would have had to return the Hogue mainspring housing for refund and find an alternative brand to replace the original plastic mainspring housing.
