Bought for a friend - Hogue SIG Sauer P226 DA/SA Allround Grips

Bought this grip for a friend, overall really nice grips when I looked at them before giving them to my friend. Look and feel seemed great. However, when my friend received them and tried to install them he had issues. There was a little tab sticking out about 1/16"-3/32" sticking out of one of the piece towards the top of the grip (where the decocker and slide release are) that prevented him from installing the grips. He told me he had to sand it down to be able to even install the grips and that the top of the grip was not flush.

I would like to think that not all of Hogue's products are like this and that I happened to receive a bad one. However, I am not happy to be hearing this. For a product I am paying almost $100 for it shouldn't have to be sanded down so that it can be installed or maybe I am mistaken.
