All references are concerning a Sig Sauer P226 SSE Stainless Elite and yes, it has the totally unnecessary rail.
After reading the prior reviews of this set of grip panels for a Sig Sauer P226, several of which said the set did not fit their firearm without modifications, I decided to take the leap and order a set. It appeared from the photos and the description that they were exactly what I wanted to replace my pristine originals. Well, long story short, they don't fit. Yes, I could have used a file and some work and made them work (maybe) but why should I? I didn't order them to perform plastic surgery on. I returned them to OP. As far as the panels themselves, they appear well made. The checkering on the back mates up perfectly as if they were checkered at the same time. The insides of the panels have a lot of different levels of the material present. Some extends above the flush fitting portion of each panel. The right panel needs material removed from the very top. It's not much, only a few thousands along the entire top. The material won't let the panel fit flush as received. That would be the easy part of the fitting job. The left panel is more intricate. It has several areas that would require more material removal. There is a tab extending above flush about 1/16 inch that will have to be cut back. It's about 3/16 inch per side and square. These are the closest grip to what comes on the Legion P226. Purchased for MK25TB P226 and they don't fit correctly. The description of all around seems to imply that they are checkered all around, but it actually denotes a different frame. Instead of 23759, you should order the 23179.

These grips did not fit well, had to file and grind to get grips to fit , they now fit and feel good in hand would not recomend unless you dont mind having to custom fit them. After using dremel tool to grind out areas so they wold fit close to frame and decock lever they fit like they should have came from hogue this was my first hogue purchase and not really pleased with having to modify new product. But as stated they now fit and feel good in hand grip is really good.
