Most Helpful Positive Review Beautiful with good grip
These grips are beautiful and really add to my Springfield 1911 Gov't. I replaced the black rubbery grips with these beautiful hardwood grips, and it makes a huge difference in the overall beauty of the firearm. They're durable, hard wood, and the checkering makes for a sure grip. Pros: Beautiful wood; nice checkering for solid grip Cons: Only con is that they don't come with the locktite needed to keep screws in solidly.

Great addition to my Rock Island GI

Recently bought a Rock Island GI 1911. Loved the gun but didn't especially like the smooth grips it came with. Ordered these Hogue grips and installed. Really enhanced the look of my gun, and feel very good while firing.
